The Morris Varsity Scholastic Bowl team recorded its first win in the first match of the season on Tuesday vs Yorkville. The game was tied at the half, but then the Morris Braves really came alive and took the lead to win 340 to 260. Great job! The Scholastic Bowl team will play Manhattan on Thursday, and JV will play its first game of the season.

Please join us in congratulating and recognizing Eli for this outstanding accomplishment: Eli was selected out of hundreds of students to be a part of the top state choir. He is the first Morris 54 student to attend state in music as a middle school student! Way to go Eli, we are so proud of you!!

To say these young men represented Morris Grade School and our entire town well would be a massive understatement. You didn't just play a season; you set a standard. While the final result wasn't what you envisioned, the integrity and class you displayed in the face of adversity were truly exemplary. We are bursting with pride, not just for the wins, but for the men you are becoming. This season wasn't the finish line—it was the launchpad. There is an electric sense of anticipation for what this group will achieve next.

To our coaches: thank you for your relentless passion and for molding this team into something special. The future is bright, and it belongs to the Braves!

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team was scheduled to play their regional game tonight, but it has been rescheduled! The game will take place on Wednesday in Peotone instead - more details are on the flyer. GO BRAVES!!

TONIGHT is GAME NIGHT for the 7th Grade Morris Braves Basketball Team! They will play at 6pm at Saratoga - enter door 16 in the IESA Sectionals. Let's pack the gym to cheer on our Regional Champs to another VICTORY!! GO BRAVES!!

The 8th grade boys basketball team is headed to Regionals as the number 2 seed! Cheer them on in Peotone as they take Sauk Village at noon. GO BRAVES!

The Morris YMCA is offering some free programs for pre-teens/teens starting in February. See the attached flyer for more information.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures on Friday, January 23, 2026 the Morris Grade School Musical - High School Musical Jr. must be rescheduled.

The new showtime will be at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Doors open to the public at 1:00pm. All tickets from Friday's show are valid for the 1:30pm Saturday show.

The show on Saturday at 6:30pm will remain the same - tickets are SOLD OUT for this show, doors open at 6pm.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and understand that some may not be able to attend at the new show time. If you are not able to attend and would like a refund of the ticket cost please send an email that includes your name, contact information and number of tickets to Mrs. Beeler at lbeeler@morris54.org.

Due to the forecasted temperatures for Friday - January 23, 2026, Morris Grade School will have an E-Learning Day. Morris Grade School will be closed, and there will no after school activities.
