Help your student grow their at-home book library.
We’re teaming up with Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program
to put brand-new books into every student's hands.
Why We Love Book Blast:
• Every student receives age-appropriate books they’ll love
• 100% of contributions go directly to books and classroom needs
• The book list is fantastic — curated and exciting

This fall, Mr. Lawrence's 7th Grade Science classes have been wrapping up their geology unit with an all-time favorite lab: the Seismic Tower Challenge! Throughout the lab, groups research the various methods and techniques modern day engineers use to make structures that are earthquake-resistant, and then design and build their own! Groups compete within their classes to see which structures can stay standing the longest, as the seismic waves gain magnitude with every passing round.
The newest 7th Grade champions have been crowned: Ryla H, Rose G, Stella E, and Maverick M! Congratulations and well done to all groups!

If you are in 6th through 8th grade, Volleyball Tryouts are SET for Monday, December 8th, and Tuesday, December 9th, at the Morris Grade School! The 7th and 8th graders will tryout from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM, while the 6th graders will tryout from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on both days. Come ready to have fun and compete! All athletes MUST have a current physical on file with the school to participate. Please remember—NO PHYSICAL = NO TRYOUT. Don't miss this opportunity!

Are you or do you know someone who is interested in a part-time position at the school? We currently have openings available in the cafeteria.
Please see the attached flyer for more information regarding the roles and application process. We encourage you to apply today!

On Monday, November 10th, our Morris Braves 8th Grade boys played in the ICS 8th Grade Start Up The Season Tournament championship against a tough and well-coached Coal City team. Down 6 points with 4 minutes left, the boys stayed resilient and found a way to win the game 41-35. Thank you to our fans for cheering hard for them and the support they received. What a way to kick off the season.
Congratulations boys and Go Braves!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cookies & Coffee this Veterans Day! Our middle school students had a great morning visiting with the Veterans and exploring the stations set up by our student council members. Thank you to Brewed Awakening s for donating the coffee! Students were able to create pictures, write notes and thank yous, hear stories and view some amazing memorabilia brought in by Veterans. Thank you to everyone who helped with the memorabilia, the students enjoyed seeing all of the items!
Mrs. Lindenborn's 8th grade class sent letters to local Veterans too!
We’re also so grateful to our guest speakers (who are also Veterans) for sharing your inspiring words with our students.
