The Morris Kiwanis book bonanza was a huge success!! Thank you so much to the Morris Kiwanis for their donations of two books for every kindergarten through fifth grade student-we appreciate your continued support of District 54 students.
4th Grade Tour of Regions
Our Be Kind to Animals picture wall has grown! Students brought pictures of their beloved pets to be displayed in honor of Be Kind to Animals week, May 6-12. The pictures have been left up to enjoy until the end of school!

We all learned a lot today from the 4th grade Tour of the Regions presentions! Students did a great job preparing and presenting...their hard work showed!!
Our golden ticket program is a great reminder that our students do great things every day. I am so proud of Izaiha, Blake, and Sophia for their hard work in making Morris 54 an incredible place!

Our butterfly garden is now complete! Students, teachers, and volunteers helped plant native perennials in planters on a gorgeous afternoon, last Friday. Nancy Kuhajda, Master Gardener from the U of I Extension, was there to help, and gave many useful tips as well! Great job!
We had such a beautiful night for the memorial bench dedication ceremony honoring Mark and Jan Wendling! Family, friends, coworkers, and students were present Sunday night to honor the couple who truly dedicated their lives to helping others! Several coworkers and friends spoke of Jan and Mark, also relaying many wonderful memories. The benches were placed near the front of the school, along with a beautiful memorial plaque and stone. Thank you to all who made the ceremony so special!
Mrs. Olson's kindergarten class was visited by some very special (and some possibly a bit creepy) friends last month! 😂
