Our butterfly garden is now complete! Students, teachers, and volunteers helped plant native perennials in planters on a gorgeous afternoon, last Friday. Nancy Kuhajda, Master Gardener from the U of I Extension, was there to help, and gave many useful tips as well! Great job!

We had such a beautiful night for the memorial bench dedication ceremony honoring Mark and Jan Wendling! Family, friends, coworkers, and students were present Sunday night to honor the couple who truly dedicated their lives to helping others! Several coworkers and friends spoke of Jan and Mark, also relaying many wonderful memories. The benches were placed near the front of the school, along with a beautiful memorial plaque and stone. Thank you to all who made the ceremony so special!

Mrs. Olson's kindergarten class was visited by some very special (and some possibly a bit creepy) friends last month! 😂

Ms. Salinas and her class have some new guests in their room! Students have been waiting patiently for the chicks to hatch. They have been slowly but surely making their appearances over the last couple of days. ☺️

Students in Ms. Larson's, Ms. Salinas's, and Mrs. Alvarez's classes helped make planters for our Butterfly Garden last week! Mr. Raffel helped too!

The 5th grade choir performed beautifully at our State of the District address Saturday morning! ☺️
