We are so proud of the hard work and dedication so many of our 8th grade students have upheld during their years at Morris Grade School. They were honored along with other area school students at the Honors Banquet, held at Saratoga School Tuesday night. Congratulations!
1st grade surprised staff last week with special gifts! They made balls of sunshine to fill our gray days with happy ones when needed! Thanks to first grade for making our days brighter!

Many thanks to the Illinois Army National Guard's Company G, 634th Brigade Support Battalion and everyone else involved in bringing the Blackhawk Helicopter to our school today! Our kids and staff will never forget this!
Tomorrow, May 3rd, a Blackhawk Helicopter will visit our school. It will be arriving around 8:45 am. The car lane will be closed at approximately 8:35 am. Cars arriving after that time will be directed to the front of the school.
Friday was Career Day for Third Grade. We had many special visitors, here are a couple guests we had!
We are so very proud of our amazing Administrators for recently being awarded special honors! Mr. Raffel was surprised at our recent Board Meeting for being recognized as the Illinois Principals Association Elementary Principal of the Year! Mrs. Stover, Special Populations Director, was recognized as a 2019 recipient of the James V. And Dorothy B. Moon Scholarship!
The track meet scheduled for tonight, April 29th, has been cancelled! Practice has also been cancelled!
