Dear Dist 54 and Morris Families, at this time we are cancelling the scheduled tryouts and indefinitely postponing our Cheerleading season. This decision is based on the guidance from the IESA and its designation as a high contact sport. Sideline Cheer is a possibility, however is contingent on the other sports that Cheer collaborates with, being able to move forward as well. Any new information from the IESA regarding our athletics will be posted. Please see the following link for the IESA Alternative Plan https://www.iesa.org/temp/IESAAlternativePlan.pdf

Morris Grade School Parents, We are continuing to prepare for the upcoming school year and appreciate everyone's patience as we get ready for school year like no other. There are a few things we need from you: 1. Please double check your house for any school textbooks or Library Books. We are still missing some that were not returned at the end of last year. If you have any of these books, please drop them off at the school between 9 am-3 pm Monday-Thursday. We needs these back ASAP in order to prepare to pass them out for the upcoming school year. 2. Most of you have filled out the Return to Learn form for your child. We still have a large number of families that need to complete the registration paperwork in Powerschool. Your child will not be placed on a class roster if these forms are incomplete. We hope to have class rosters complete and available by August 17th. If you need help filling out the online registration forms, please call the office between 9am-3 pm Monday-Thursday. Thank you for your help in these areas that will help us continue to get ready for the 2020-2021 school year!
