Happy Retirement to Mrs. Janet Jay - dedicated Social Worker at District 54 for 25 years! We wish you so much happiness in your retirement! Enjoy! ♥ Janet's Favorite Memory: Working with “My Team” and the camaraderie among our staff - seeing how kind people really are. 😊 Janet's Advice: Things happened for a reason (Good can come out of bad) & don’t be judgmental of others (even parents - they are doing the best they can and/or know how to). ❤

Happy Retirement to Denise Hauge! Thank you for your 30 years of amazing service to District 54! Denise's Advice: "Be good to the kids, you do not know what kind of day they are having when you see them - smile and be a “spark” to possibly turn their day around." 😊

Happy Retirement
We are sending this to our families tonight in light of the horrific tragedy that took place in Texas today at an elementary school. When scary events happen, children often have questions and look to parents and teachers for answers. We want you to know that if any of our students want to talk about this tomorrow, we will be available for them. We will acknowledge the situation and validate their feelings. Please contact the school if you feel your student needs to talk with someone. Our social workers and school psychologists will be available to help students needing to process this situation further with an adult. Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by this tragic and traumatic event.

The Morris Grade School PTO is looking forward to getting back to our "normal" for the '22-'23 school year, but we can't do it without your help! Please consider joining us next year, as we bring back some favorite events from the past, and plan some new ones! We are a 100% volunteer organization, and without your help events like Haunted Hallways, Middle School Dances, etc won't continue. Please email us at ptomail@morris54.org with any questions or interest!
