Retiring 5th grade teacher, Sue Farber, was surprised today by many former students of her first fifth grade class! These students were 5th grade students in the 2012-2013 school year and will be entering their senior year of high school in the fall. Mrs. Farber has taught several grades in the district since 1986, was a PE teacher for many years, and went back into the classroom teaching fifth grade in 2012. She has made an impact on so many and will be missed! ❤️ view image

After the kids left today, we celebrated our amazing and dedicated retirees! Fran Rosa, custodian for 19 years, Susan Farber, teacher for over 33 years, and Karin Weaver, teacher for over 18 years, were honored by fellow teachers and staff! We can’t thank you all enough for your love and dedication to District 54! You will be missed! ❤️ view image

That’s a wrap! Two of our lovely retirees, Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Farber, waved the checkered flag...giving the all clear for buses and students to roll out! Have a safe and energizing summer! See you in the fall! ❤️ view image

Thanks to the Community Foundation of Grundy County, our 6th graders were able to go to Feed My Starving Children in Aurora today. It was a great way to help the less fortunate. We were able to pack 206 boxes which contained more than 44,000 meals and will feed one hot meal a day to 122 kiddos for a year. It was a great feeling to be a part of this project! #teachmorris #fmsc #communityfoundationofgrundyco view image
