Spring Sports

Dear District 54 Parents and Athletes,

With the State of Illinois announcing that Region 2, which includes Grundy County, has moved to Phase 4 mitigations, Morris Grade School will be moving forward with Spring Athletics, including Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Track, and Wrestling!

Furthermore, unlike in the past, due to the specific circumstances this year, we are allowing athletes to participate in multiple sports if they would like, however they must communicate with their coaches and be able to commit to both sports.

If interested in participating in Morris Grade School Girls Basketball, Track, or Wrestling please have the following completed prior to Friday March 12th:

  • Up to date sports physical on file with our Nurse. (6th grade physical doubles as sports physical however if you are out of district we still require a copy)
  • Be registered on our athletic website https://il.8to18.com/ShabbonaMS/ (Click on the link and the gray registration tab and follow the prompts. Forms do not need to be printed and signed only verified)

We are very happy to be able to offer our spring sports to our students, however we do want to remind you that this is a fluid situation and changes to the schedules may occur as a result of the situation. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we move forward.

Thank you and Go Braves!
