Dear District 54 and Morris Families,
I wanted to give you an update on the current decision that the IESA has made with regard to early fall sports. At this time they have decided to cancel regular seasons and state series of boys and girls golf, boys baseball, girls softball, and boys and girls cross-country for the 2020-21 school year. They have also stated that there will not be any modifications to the schedules or timing of these seasons.
With regards to Soccer and Cheer, we are still waiting for clarification and I will post that information when a decision is made. Although this is not the news that we wanted to hear, the IESA has held off on cancelling anything else at this time in hopes that we will still be able to hold our other sports. All those that have completed the registration process and paid will have their money refunded. I will keep you updated with any new information.
