Retiring 5th grade teacher, Sue Farber, was surprised today by many former students of her first fifth grade class! These students were 5th grade students in the 2012-2013 school year and will be entering their senior year of high school in the fall. Mrs. Farber has taught several grades in the district since 1986, was a PE teacher for many years, and went back into the classroom teaching fifth grade in 2012. She has made an impact on so many and will be missed! ❤️

(Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Before leaving their designated room, each class had to complete the tasks and instructions posted on the SmartBoards. In this case, students needed to survive an apocalypse and outbreak of a mutated H1N1 virus! They also had to create an antidote to help their teammates who became infected! Students were allowed to call for help to a designated call center if they had difficulities finding answers. Congrats to the grade level winners for “surviving” this terrible outbreak!

We had such a beautiful night for the memorial bench dedication ceremony honoring Mark and Jan Wendling! Family, friends, coworkers, and students were present Sunday night to honor the couple who truly dedicated their lives to helping others! Several coworkers and friends spoke of Jan and Mark, also relaying many wonderful memories. The benches were placed near the front of the school, along with a beautiful memorial plaque and stone. Thank you to all who made the ceremony so special!
